Mareeba sits up on the Atherton Tablelands, inland and west of Cairns, and the work up there looks nothing like the coast. Horticulture and irrigation
Mango, avocado, coffee and cane country runs on pumps, gensets and machinery that has to start every morning of harvest. Charging faults, wiring and control gear are most of what we see.
Dust instead of salt
Inland the enemy is dust and heat, not corrosion. Dust works its way into connectors and switchgear, and sustained heat is hard on batteries and on air conditioning that never gets a break.
Produce cartage and the Gulf road
Trucks running produce off the Tablelands and traffic heading out west put real hours on 24V charging systems, scale systems and trailer wiring.
A long way from a workshop

Mareeba in our words.
Mareeba work is seasonal in a way the coastal towns are not — it builds through harvest and quietens after it. Most of it is auto electrical on farm machinery and work vehicles, battery replacement in Mareeba where heat and constant starting have worn one out, and air conditioning on cabs that run all day through a Tablelands summer. Haulage adds scale systems and heavy-vehicle charging on top.
